Title: 2nd Annual “Artfully Sweet” Fundraiser hosted by Southern Nevada Children First
Location: At the Ridges in Summerlin (in an exclusive residence)
Description: On April 2, 2011, 12:00pm-3:00pm, Southern Nevada Children First (SNCF), will be hosting their 2nd Annual “Artfully Sweet” event in Las Vegas at an exclusive residence at the Ridges in Summerlin. “Artfully Sweet” will include desserts and pastries from some of Las Vegas’ premium pastry chefs, artwork from local artists, a silent auction with fascinating items and a variety of amazing live performances.

SNCF is a local 501©3 non-profit organization, that provides long- term transitional living and life skills training to homeless pregnant and parenting teens and young adults, ages 16-22. The mission of SNCF is to “strengthen the lives of children and families” by providing pregnant and parenting homeless youth with safe, structured and positive living environments that encourage the development of the skills necessary to successfully transition to self-sufficiency. In 2010 over 270 mothers and children have been assisted, of which 11 young ladies have transitioned to independent housing, 65 girls have successfully reconnected to education, 49 girls have received quality work experience and 10 young women have been reconnected to their friends or families. All proceeds from this fundraiser will be used to fund SNCF’s work.

Through targeted marketing and public relations efforts we are hoping to attract over 150 attendees, including media personalities, Las Vegas show performers and local community members. Tickets for the event will be $35 and due to the exclusivity of the location all tickets need to be purchased in advance.

  1. I am interested in supporting your cause and would like to know if I can bid or purchase a piece of art online without going to the event. I am a supporter of Childhood Cancer Foundation and was able to bid and purchase two pieces of art from them.
I am a local, do not work due to a bad heart but I do what I can to support our community, I volunteer at Bonnie Springs Ranch, need to get up there since the weather has changed. I am interested in volunteering to help out on this event.
Please feel free to call me at 702-493-2421.
