Toyota to donate vehicle to local nonprofit organizations based on public votes

Lied Discovery Children’s Museum is one of 500 finalists in Toyota’s 100 Cars for Good program, which will award vehicles to 100 nonprofit organizations based on votes from the public. The program began on May 9, 2011.

Toyota’s 100 Cars for Good program showcases five nonprofit organizations each day for 100 days on Toyota’s Facebook page, facebook.com/toyota. Visitors to the page can vote once a day for the organization they feel is most deserving of a new Toyota vehicle. Lied Discovery Children’s Museum will be one of the five organizations highlighted for voting on Saturday, July 16, 2011

Everyone is encouraged to support Lied Discovery Children’s Museum in its quest for a new Toyota Sienna. If the museum receives the most votes on July 16 and is awarded the vehicle, it will be used to expand the House Calls Outreach Program, which provides interactive health and science education in Southern Nevada classrooms.

Lied Discovery Children’s Museum is located at 833 Las Vegas Blvd. North in downtown Las Vegas and features more than 100 interactive exhibits based on science, art and culture for children and families. For more information, visit www.LDCM.org or call (702) 382-3445.
