Name: Pamela A. Ivey, MD, FACC
Hometown: Orinda, Calif.
Be proactive about your heart and your health, says Dr. Pamela Ivey. The cardiologist says women are usually the care providers for their families and often put their own health at the bottom of the list.
A University of Southern California graduate, Dr. Ivey completed her residency at Cedar Sinai Medical Center. In 2000, her interest in cardiac rehabilitation brought her from Northern California to Southern Nevada to join the Cardiovascular Consultants of Nevada.
As part of a select team of cardiology and cardiothoracic specialists in Las Vegas, Dr. Ivey keeps up with the latest technological innovations, such as the ability to perform valve replacement surgery through the groin without opening the chest.
Dr. Ivey takes pleasure in positively impacting patients’ lives. She urges patients not to be afraid to ask questions: “You are your own best health advocate, choose to participate in your own health care.”
Dr. Ivey volunteers with Go Red Campaign, American Heart Association, Second Chance at Life and National Charity League. She and her husband of 28 years have a daughter, 15, and son, 17. She also likes to swim, run, cycle, cook and participate in triathlons.Office contact information HealthCare Partners Medical Group, Green Valley Cardiology Location
