Art with a Sense of Humor

Lee Chirillo’s artwork always makes people smile and muse over her controversial multi-media creations. She likes to use everything from hair, real money, glasses, jewelry….whatever fits the subjects on her acrylic painted canvasses.

Many of her paintings feature well known figures such as Mother Theresa, Obama, John Lennon, Jackie O and Johnny Cash. She even created a life size skeleton on a surf board dressed in a tutu. Not sure who it is, but it’s pretty funky.

Lee is a self taught artist and comes to the art world with an entertainment background. She currently performs standup around Las Vegas and has been performing in the arts for the last thirty years.

Lee’s first formal job was as an actress in the movie entitled “The Yakuza” with Robert Mitchum filmed in Japan at the age of 17. She then went on to many more film and television projects both in front of and behind the camera. In 2005 she produced The Original Las Vegas Comedy Festival” featuring the family of Richard Pryor, which was the catalyst that brought her to Las Vegas.

She is currently entering a new venture painting dog portraits for all those die hard dog lovers utilizing her unique style of multi media art design. You can see her work on Facebook under the name Angie Beagleman.
