Las Vegas Woman Magazine Presents

The Elite 25
Summer 2012

Sponsored by Merrill Lynch

On the evening of June 6, 2012, The Elite 25 was held at the beautiful Palms Place in a penthouse on the 56th floor with an incredible balcony view of the strip. The Elite 25 is a private event hosted by Las Vegas Woman Magazine in which only twenty-five invitations were sent out each season. Those invited were selected because of their highly philanthropic contributions to our valley. The Elite 25 event is designed to honor bighearted individuals that have displayed admirable generosity through volunteering and substantial financial contributions.

Las Vegas Woman Magazine, Publisher & Owner, Tammy Shaw

The honorees began the evening on the balcony of the penthouse enjoying the beautiful view, weather, wine and delicious food from Wild Truffles Catering. The Elite 25 party then moved inside where Las Vegas Woman publisher and owner, Tammy Shaw, gave a heartwarming opening speech. The event sponsor, David Pulliam, Senior Financial Advisor with Pulliam and Associates at Merrill Lynch, said a few words and was recognized for their support of the event. Pulliam then introduced the evening’s guest speaker, Michael Wagshcal, First Vice President and Institutional Philanthropic Specialist at Merrill Lynch.

An incredible presentation on the giving trends of “High Net Worth Women” was given by Wagschal. The honorees and invited guests received advice about giving and fundraising tips mixed in with personal stories of the positive influence of giving. Ultimately, everyone was beyond inspired by Wagschal’s moving presentation.

Following Wagschal’s presentation, publisher Tammy Shaw, along with Las Vegas Woman’s VP, Ruth Lauber, commenced the award recognition ceremony. Each honoree received an Appreciation Award plaque thanking them for their philanthropic contributions as well as a gift bag of items totaling over $2000. Among the honorees:
