Our goal is to identify the cause of a patient’s pain as accurately as possible and to treat it in the most effective, non-invasive and least pharmacological manner. Our cutting-edge electroanalgesia protocol offers proven techniques that provide our patients sustained relief from their pain.
Dr. Robert H. Odell, Jr. is the owner and Medical Director of Neuropathy and Pain Centers of America here in Las Vegas, specializing in Anesthesiology & Interventional Pain Management. As a fellow of the Medical Scientist Training Program, he received his Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering from Stanford University in 1974 and his medical degree from Stanford in 1976. He completed his residency in anesthesiology at UCLA, and served as chief resident at Harbor/UCLA Medical Center in 1982. He is a diplomat of the American Board of Anesthesiology, American Academy of Pain Management, the American Board of Pain Medicine and a Fellow of Interventional Pain Practice of the World Institute of Pain.
For those who suffer from chronic pain, Dr. Odell is an angel in a lab coat. Dr. Odell knows that living with chronic pain is challenging. “I could write a book on the challenges facing patients seeking treatment of chronic pain. One of the biggest challenges is the tendency of many physicians to treat the symptoms with drugs rather finding and treating the root cause of the pain. And unfortunately, these pain-relieving medications often have their own negative side-effects. We want to completely avoid that.”
Dr. Odell emphasized, “Unlike other pain management clinics, Neuropathy & Pain Centers of America specialize in non-invasive, non-surgical, non-steroidal pain medication treatment. We believe this is a better path for our patients. We further address these challenges by trying to find the root causes of patients’ pain and by trying to treat the root cause with our highly successful electroanalgesia device, termed electronic signal treatment (EST) and our combined electrochemical block, which is the application of local anesthetic plus EST.”
Over the last several years, Dr. Odell has been working with very advanced electromedical devices that produce beneficial results for some of the most chronic pain management challenges. “We aim to provide the highest quality of pain management by utilizing principles of biophysics as well as traditional pharmacology. Our goal is to identify the cause of a patient’s pain as accurately as possible and to treat it in the most effective, non-invasive and least pharmacological manner. Our cutting-edge electroanalgesia protocol offers proven techniques that provide our patients sustained relief from their pain. Whether a patient is suffering from peripheral neuropathy (caused by diabetes, chemotherapy or trauma) and is seeking effective treatment; or a patient is seeking treatment for spine pain or chronic joint pain (especially knees, shoulders, or hips), we are proud to be able to provide proven techniques that offer our patients relief from their pain.”
Additionally, Dr. Odell explained, “Patients coming to our clinic can expect to be treated in a professional and understanding environment. We do thorough workups, including nerve testing that does not hurt. The patient’s pain challenges will be discussed completely and a full explanation of the treatment will be provided. Because we treat chronic pain, their first visit will be a thorough consultation where we carefully explain our treatment recommendations and what their responsibilities are as a patient working with us to begin the healing process.”
It is obvious Dr. Odell has found a calling in implementing unique and effective treatments for patients suffering from chronic pain. His patients are grateful to Dr. Odell and his staff at Neuropathy and Pain Centers of America.
In fact, one patient stated, “I was diagnosed with RSD/CRPS; a very severe form of neuropathy after a minor surgery to my wrist. This condition caused me to suffer from severe burning pain and swelling that could not be relieved from even the strongest types of narcotic pain medications. I tried many different therapies with little or no relief. I traveled from out of state to Neuropathy and Pain Centers of America to have one week of treatment with Dr. Odell. After the first couple of treatments the burning pain and swelling were greatly reduced. By the end of the week I was feeling great and smiling again. The genuine interest in my health and well-being from every member of Dr. Odell’s team sets them apart from any other medical practice. Thank you, Dr. Odell, for your passion in changing your patient’s lives by helping them to eliminate the daily pain.”Office contact information Neuropathy & Pain Centers of America
