Fall Luncheon to raise funds for organization’s Christmas Angel Program
LAS VEGAS – October, 2014 – The Salvation Army’s Women’s Auxiliary is finalizing the details of their largest fund raising effort of the year – their Annual Fall Luncheon and Silent Auction, which this year features the musical stylings of Ronnie Rose and a Dillard’s Fashion Show. The event will take place Saturday, October 18, 2014, at the Orleans Hotel and Casino, 4300 W. Tropicana Boulevard, from 10:30 AM until 2:30 PM. Tickets are $40, with tables of ten available for $400.
As in years past, the Silent Auction is a very large part of the fund raising effort. This year’s items include a stay at the Venetian with dinner and a show, a complete spa package featuring facial, massage, manicure and pedicure, artwork, jewelry, exquisite gift baskets, rounds of golf, show tickets, gift cards and so much more.
There will be twice the entertainment at this year’s event! Dillard’s at the Fashion Show Mall will be presenting a fashion show featuring models from the Auxiliary’s membership. Ronnie Rose, a favorite of locals, will be performing a juke box full of standards, which many attendees have been anticipating since his last appearance in 2012. This will be Ronnie’s third benefit presentation at the Auxiliary’s luncheon.
The proceeds from this event will be used to assist in funding the Salvation Army Christmas Angel Program, which each year provides gifts for thousands of children who might otherwise not have a Christmas. Last year, the organization provided 2 gifts for each of nearly 7,000 children, aged newborn through 14, along with food gift cards for each family, helping parents in over 2,000 families make their holiday celebration special.
Tickets are still available and may be purchased by calling The Salvation Army, (702) 870.4430 or by visiting salvationarmysouthernnevada.org.
