On Friday, February 21, 2014 the United Way of Southern Nevada’s Women’s Leadership Council (WLC) held its Luncheon Fashion Show at Four Seasons Hotel Las Vegas. The event recognized the WLC’s impact in the community and women community leaders who demonstrate a commitment to improving southern Nevada. Punam Mathur served as the event emcee. The event included an exclusive DKNY “pop up” boutique and fashion show.

“The WLC is a diverse, dynamic group of over 100 of our community’s top women leaders that have come together to impact lives in southern Nevada,” said Lawrel Larsen, Director, Women’s Leadership Council. “Our members are passionate about creating change in the community and have raised over $1.3 million in the last six years to create a better future for southern Nevada.”

To further their impact in the community, WLC is announcing new projects in the areas of education and health care.

The members of the Women’s Leadership Council impact lives through their investment of $2,500 or more annually to United Way of Southern Nevada. The Annual Luncheon Fashion Show is a culmination of the women’s combined financial support and time.

The Luncheon Fashion Show included an exclusive DKNY fashion show, featuring WLC members and recipients as the models. Ladies who attended the Luncheon also had an opportunity to shop at an exclusive DKNY “pop-up” boutique, with a special 10% attendee discount, with 10% of the proceeds going back to UWSN to further impact the community. Guests could also purchase raffle tickets for a chance to win a Hearts On Fire 18k white gold pendant with .65ctw of diamonds, courtesy of MJ Christensen Diamonds.
