United Way of Southern Nevada Announces the Women’s Leadership Council’s “Women’s Fall Suit Drive,” November 7, 7a.m. – 2p.m.
Hosted by the United Way of Southern Nevada’s Women’s Leadership Council, the annual one-day suit drive collects suits and other business attire for women in need. The drive helps women prepare for career opportunities and gain confidence to succeed during job interviews and in the workplace. Last year’s drive collected 7,084 professional items including suits, dresses, shoes, handbags and jewelry. Donations will benefit United Way accredited agencies with back to work programs for women including Catholic Charities, Goodwill Career Connections, S.A.F.E. House, SafeNest, The Shade Tree, Women’s Development Center, Work Opportunities Readiness Center of HELP of Southern Nevada.
United Way of Southern Nevada’s Women’s Leadership Council (WLC) is part of a national network of dedicated women philanthropists who have collectively raised over $1B in supporting United Way’s mission in the areas of Health, Education and Financial Stability.
