8 Noodle Bar incorporates the number 8, considered lucky in Asian culture, and offers a menu including Chinese, Vietnamese, Japanese and Thai cuisines. Dishes are both flavorful and filling with an emphasis on rice and broth. Start the meal with Shrimp Toast, hand chopped rock shrimp, fried egg, water chestnuts, scallions and spicy mayo with an eel sauce. Its specialty is gyoza with pork and shrimp dumplings and a Chinkiang dipping sauce.
The specialty steamed buns include Duck, Pork Belly and Grilled Beef Short Rib Boa Bun. Tonkotsu Ramen hot soup is made with pork broth and filled with pork belly, poached egg, pickled ginger bamboo, scallions and mushrooms. Noodle bowls feature Pad Thai with rice noodles, tofu, egg, bean sprouts, peanuts and lime.
The décor includes touches of red with seating at tables, banquet style along the wall or the chef’s counter, where guests can watch meals being prepared.
