  1. Walk us through a typical day in your shoes.
Andrew Tierney: I usually get up with my wife Heather around 6:30 a.m. and do some cardio workout—we love training together. I make a few business calls and set up my thoughts for any meetings we might have planned for that afternoon. I usually head into the showroom with the other guys for a few hours before we sound check every day at 5:45 p.m. I get ready and perform to an amazing audience and I’m usually back home by about 10 p.m. to wind down.
  2. Have you ever purchased any As Seen on TV items?
Mike Tierney: Yes I got the Total Pillow for traveling, it’s a round neck pillow, shaped like a donut, you can mold it into whatever shape is most comfortable and it actually works great on a plane.
  3. If you could destroy a grade-school photo of yourself, what year would it be and why?
Toby Allen: I would destroy all of them. I had a massive head and an even larger head of hair which my mum insisted on cutting herself. It was a whole lot of brown wavy mop sitting up there. Coupled with my large front two teeth, I was quite a sight!
  4. While grocery shopping, what is your stick-in-the-cart-when-no-one-is-looking item?
Phil Burton: I’m a total sucker for the little displays of chocolate they put at the counter at Whole Foods. They always have something exotic that I just have to try. The fact that the chocolates are usually only bite-sized also means the guilt factor isn’t too heavy.
  5. If we were to look through your device, what is on your hit list or playlist or favorite app?
Toby Allen: One app that you’ll find being used a lot on my phone lately is Hue Disco. I have some of the Philips Hue lights that changes color. Hue Disco does exactly what it suggests and turns the lights into party time mode. My kids love their little discos in their room dancing like crazy as the lights do the same.
  6. Do you ever play “tourist” in Vegas? If so, what is your favorite thing to do?
Mike Tierney: I always love taking people up to Mt Charleston for lunch, it’s a very un-Vegas place to go and people are always surprised that it’s so close to the Strip. It’s a nice place to beat the heat in summer and see some snow in the winter time.
  7. What do you do to unwind and relax?
Andrew Tierney: To unwind and relax, I love either watching TV or playing the piano and noodling around with song ideas. I also relax just chatting with my wife Heather about things. She is my rock and has all the common sense I seemed to have missed out on so she comes in very handy!!
  8. Does anyone ever mistake you for someone else?
Phil Burton: All the time. I have audience members come up and tell me of my resemblance to a different person every night; a young Tommy Lee Jones to Dan Aykroyd. The most common ones are Mark or Donnie Wahlberg, or (for the Aussie readers) Jimmy Barnes.
