As Well As A Living MemorialThe Darling Tennis Center (officially Amanda and Stacy Darling Tennis Center) is a multi-court facility. This is the place created to foster a love of tennis regardless of skill as well as place for the community to come together at the public courts.
The city of Las Vegas’ state of the art center opened in 2005 as part of the 110 acre Kellogg-Zaher Sports Complex. It is also the largest public outdoor tennis center in the state of Nevada.
The complex offers 23 lighted hard courts with center stadium court that seats 3,000 spectators. The tennis center features comprehensive tennis programs, events, camps and services to encompass all players from beginner to advanced. Tucker’s Tennis Store, a specialty retail tennis store, is open at the center. The center also offers cardio tennis classes designed to get the heart rate into a heart healthy range to burn maximum calories. Adult leagues are beginning in February.

Through an endowment agreement with the Amanda and Stacy Darling Memorial Foundation, the city received $1 million dollars for maintenance and operations of the Amanda and Stacy Darling Tennis Center. The center court is named in memory of Ronald Craig Darling.
The Darling family has long been involved with sponsorship of youth activities and an annual memorial tournament. The family lost their two daughters, Amanda and Stacy, in a tragic automobile accident in 1993. The family later suffered another tragedy when their son Ron was lost in a motorcycle accident in 2001. All were avid tennis players and supporters of the Nevada Tennis Association. Through the foundation, Fred Darling—father of Ron, Amanda, and Stacy—has annually raised thousands of dollars for local charities.
A number of prestigious events have been hosted there including part of the ATP Tour International Series. The Tennis Channel Open was held for three years from 2006-08. James Blake, Lleyton Hewitt and Sam Querrey won the tournament respectively. The Bryan brothers won the doubles event two years in a row and made the finals in 2008.
An annual pass is available along with family, individual, and senior passes that include discounts on leagues and lessons. For new players, there is the 30 for 30 program. For $30, a new player can come to a beginner clinic everyday for 30 days.
