Dr. Paul Tomasic is the medical director of Endocrinology and Primary Care Services. He is a native Southern Californian who moved to Las Vegas in 2005 after completing a career in the United States Navy at the rank of captain, Medical Corps. Dr. Tomasic graduated from the University of California, Los Angeles with a Bachelor of Arts degree in biology, cum laude. He received his doctor of medicine degree from the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences and completed his internal medicine residency at Naval Hospital, San Diego. He completed his fellowship in endocrinology, diabetes and metabolism at the National Naval Medical Center in Bethesda, Maryland. He earned a Master of Science degree in management information systems from Bowie State University where he also became a certified information system analyst. He has earned a professional certificate in business management from UCSD Extension.
Dr. Tomasic’s professional memberships include the American Medical Association, Endocrine Society, the American Diabetes Association, the American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists and the Health Information and Management Systems Society. He is a past president of the Nevada Chapter of HIMSS. He is currently president of the Nevada Chapter of AACE. He is a fellow of the American College of Physicians and a fellow of the American College of Endocrinology. He is board certified in internal medicine and endocrinology, diabetes and metabolism.
Dr. Tomasic has received “Top Doc” in endocrinology honors from Vegas Seven magazine in both 2014 and 2015. He lectures and serves as moderator at educational events throughout the state of Nevada for both the Nevada chapter of AACE and the Nevada chapter of HIMSS.
