In the 1960s, cat-eye frames were the rage. In the 1970s, cool people wore aviator shapes. Continuing into the 1980s, big and bold frames made a fashion statement. Dior created the round gold metal frame and large square sunglass acetate style in the 1990s. Today, it is all about retro-inspired frames for the new eyewear collections including Dior, Tom Ford and Clubmaster.

The new trend of metal-on-metal designs incorporates different colors and a mix of shapes in one design with a focus on gold. Mirror lenses and lightly tinted lenses give that aura of mystery.
