Umbilical cord derived stem cells have been demonstrated to be the most potent type of stem in terms of regenerating human cells and reversing disease states in over 100 different conditions including Lupus, Multiple Sclerosis, Rheumatoid arthritis, Osteoarthritis, traumatic brain injuries, neuropathies, diabetes, Parkinsons disease, dementia and stroke injury.
The stem cells do not come from any embryonic tissue from unborn fetuses but instead they do come from the umbilical cords, not paid for, after passing the FDA tissue bank screening form, and are the only FDA-approved stem cell product. Although the umbilical cord stem cell product is FDA approved, they are not specifically FDA approved for any specific indication. There are well over 200,000 studies documenting the benefits of stem cell therapy for a variety of medical diseases and over 20,000 studies specifically studying umbilical cord stem cells.
Doctors can administer umbilical cord stem cells to patients that have conditions being studied with umbilical cord cells but not make claims of treating that particular condition with stem cells to be FDA compliant. Doctors can only point to the benefits of umbilical cord stem cells achieved in an overwhelming number of studies completed showing the benefits.

There are three types of stem cells currently being used: Umbilical cord derived, a person’s adipose (fat) derived and a person’s own bone marrow derived. Only umbilical cord derived is FDA approved and anyone can receive them since there are no HLA typing markers on these cells. If a person undergoes the procedure to harvest their own stem cells (bone marrow or fat derived), only that person can receive those stem cells back. Also, if a person undergoes a procedure to harvest his or her stem cells, those cells are the same age as the person. Umbilical cord derived stem cells are easy to administer and are essentially zero years old.
How do they work? The umbilical cord stem cells once introduced into the body through an IV are drawn to areas of damage, injury, inflammation and degeneration by signals given off from those damaged and inflamed tissues. The stem cells set up immunomodulary centers wherever there is damaged tissue in order to recruit cells to repair damage, as well as produce anti-inflammatory and healing peptides and proteins to help in the regeneration of tissue. Approximately 20 million live umbilical cord stem cells are introduced through an IV, and those cells continue to double every 28 hours to a maximum of sixty-five times producing approximately 600 septillion cells that secrete healing immunomodulary proteins and incorporate themselves into the regenerating tissue. Since these umbilical cord stem cells cross the blood brain barrier, they can regenerate brain and nerve tissues. These umbilical cord cells also regenerate cartilage, bone, connective tissue, muscle, organ tissue and skin. The full effects of regenerating damaged and inflamed tissues can take up to six months to accomplish.
It is interesting to note that stem cells from bone marrow have been used in orthopedic and spine surgeries for over twenty years with great success in improving surgical outcomes.
