Center For Sight is a comprehensive ophthalmology center that treats patients of all ages for a variety of conditions and eye diseases. In 2013, Dr. Eva Liang and her husband, Anthony Ausband, opened the practice to deliver what they call “20/Happy” results.
The practice features 10 doctors across a variety of specialties from cataracts to pediatrics to glaucoma and others, offering the most compassionate and individualized eye care.
Using state-of-the-art techniques and equipment, their skilled and experienced board-certified ophthalmologists provide a full range of services to help patients live life with clear vision; whether it is an eye exam, dry eye treatment, or eye surgery.
Patients visiting Center For Sight receive customized treatment plans, which gives peace of mind that they will receive the best possible outcomes due to the accuracy and precision of their procedures.
One the ways that Center For Sight stands out is with the addition of Dr. Selim. He brings his subspecialty of pediatric ophthalmology to the group, which opens the range of treatment for all ages. He is a renowned pediatric ophthalmologist with a career spanning over 22 years. Before joining the practice, Dr. Selim was the pediatric ophthalmologist and chief of the ophthalmology division, Children’s Hospital Oakland, California.
Dr. Selim loves working with children and is a pediatrician, as well as a pediatric ophthalmologist. Addressing patient’s concerns is of the utmost importance to both him and Center For Sight overall. Two of the most frequently asked questions he receives concerns strabismus, commonly referred to as eye misalignment or crossed eyed.
Patients want to know if strabismus can be fixed, and will strabismus surgery help them to see better? The answer is yes to both!
Dr. Selim explains, “Surgery can fix the appearance and functionality of strabismus in children and some adults. It seems 95 percent of adults are told that it cannot be fixed, but this is not always true. Within the last five years, there have been advances in surgical techniques for strabismus surgery. These new techniques are more effective for incomitant strabismus. In addition, we can do small incision surgery to correct small deviations in adults.”
