“One Night for One Drop” as imagined by Cirque du Soleil is a completely original, one night only production featuring artists from each of the seven resident Las Vegas Cirque du Soleil productions. Befitting One Drop, the foundation of Cirque du Soleil creator, Guy Laliberté, it is a spectacular production involving over 400 Cirque du Soleil artists, designers and technicians as well as special guests. The creative team behind the fifth annual show includes Krista Monson, director of creation. The exclusive performance will be held in the Zumanity Theatre at New York-New York Hotel & Casino on March 3.

The fourth annual Pahrump Hot Air Balloon Festival returns to Petrack Park Feb. 24-26. The three-day family-friendly festival will fill the Pahrump skies with more than 30 colorful hot air balloons from the western states. The event also features a carnival with midway games, live entertainment, tasty bites and vendors for all ages to enjoy.

Courtney Force set a Funny Car track record in qualifying Friday at The Strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway and seeks to hold the No. 1 position through Saturday’s sessions ahead of the NHRA Nationals, the fourth round of the Mello Yello Drag Racing Series.

The goals of the local affiliate for the National Association of Women Business Owners, NAWBO Southern Nevada, is to educate, empower and promote women business owners to experience success in all economic, political and social arenas. During one morning event, three successful women offered their expertise in the various facets of promoting a business. While she and her family taste the new recipes, including the sauces, and give feedback, Solomon does all of the marketing and participates in a number of expos and other events.
