We are excited to debut a new look in this issue of Las Vegas Woman Magazine. Our artists at 702West designs have outdone themselves. Kudos, kudos, kudos! As you read though the articles, there’s a refreshingly clean look to each design that makes every story even more enjoyable to read.
The holidays are upon us and amongst all religions there’s a common thread that runs through this time of year: family.
Let me be the first to admit, the first few months of Grace’s life were exhausting and the biggest adjustment of our lives. Between sleepless nights and web searching for every imagined newborn ailment, I was a worried wreck.
Here I am, operating a business along with being a mom to my 9-month-old baby, Grace, doing both full-time. I quickly realized that when becoming a mother, I had to make decisions on many controversial topics, starting with epidural or natural birth. Then onto other debatable conversations such as vaccinations, attachment parenting vs. cry-it-out methods, when to start solids and whether to be a stay-at-home mom or working mom.

>Last issue, we introduced a new feature, People to Watch, that instantly became a favorite with our readers. These are mentors, teachers and locals right in our community that fit a wide spectrum of demographics. From individuals at the bright start of their career to well-seasoned professionals, there was something for anyone reading to feel inspired. We’ve extended our People to Watch feature to this issue with more interesting locals to read about.

Grace Jenny Grabel was born on May 1, 2015 (5/1/15) at 5 p.m. on the dot. We had decided her name to be Grace long before she was born. While in the hospital, we received a Facebook message that said to Google the meaning of 5. We did just that, and what we found gave me chills. The meaning of 5 symbolizes “grace.”
