The Las Vegas Natural History Museum is excited to host their 2nd Annual Sundown in Downtown Friday evening June 21st from 6:00 pm to 10 pm at the Las Vegas Natural History Museum 900 Las Vegas Blvd. North. Sundown in Downtown is an evening filled with fun featuring live local bands Wild Card and Joey Vitale Trio & closing the fun with DJ Ultra. Magicians, fortune tellers and artists will be on hand to make sure you have an interesting evening.
The theme for the evening is Calypso, when guests arrive they will gather with the sounds of steel drum bands and music of the Caribbean. Good food and beverages will be provided by many of our outstanding local eateries and businesses including: The Barrymore, Bar + Bistro, Casa Don Juan’s, Gimme Some Sugar, Jerry’s Nugget, Mundo, The Mob Bar, Nothing Bundt Cake, The Popcorn Girl, Real Water, Southern Wine & Spirits and Triple George.
Sundown in Downtown was conceived in 2012 by Museum Board Members Mickey Norton and Stephanie Stallworth & Museum Director Marilyn Gillespie to help provide support for the special outreach the Museum provides to at-risk schools. The Las Vegas Natural History Museum has served the Las Vegas Area for 22 years providing an opportunites for students, families and tourist to learn about the amazing world around them. The Museum is commonly referred to as the Dinosaur Museum, but offers many other exciting programs and exhibits.
