Adjusting Our Sail
It seems like a lifetime ago when we set our 2020 goals and a lifetime of events has occurred in this short period of time. This year has been filled with grief and it has caused many of us to throw out the concept of reaching our destination.

Family Life Has Changed
At the end of 2019, I clearly recall turning to my husband as we were driving home from a family vacation and saying, "Wow, life has been going so great for us this year. It almost makes me wonder when the other shoe is going to drop."

Dr. Jennifer Baynosa often heard as a child that one day she would find a nice man, fall in love, get married and have a family.

“When are you going to have kids of your own?” My husband and I receive this often as a substitute for “Hello” from friends and family.

Take the time you need to get rid of stuff or put things in their places. There is plenty to be stressed out over—don’t let messiness be one of them.

The fairy tale starts out like this: we are attracted, we meet, we date, we fall in love, and we start making a life together. Then, the reality hits: we set goals, we work hard, we have kids, we have no time to remember to connect emotionally and sexually with our beloved partner.

While steeped in the dopamine ether of new love, it can be easy to get swept up by the intensity of chemistry and connection. New love is wildly exhilarating.

Calendar of Events Fall 2018

We’ve all heard of empty-nest syndrome, which arrives post-adolescence when we are faced with the sudden and stark reality of unmarked calendars and quiet mornings.
