Dr. Peter J. Bregman is passionate about helping people function the way they want to. He feels that the ability to change people’s lives is an amazing and gratifying gift; it keeps him in the forefront of his field.
He is constantly evaluating new treatments and offers the use of biologics such as stem cells, amniotic tissue and now exosomes to treat many chronic and acute problems. Acoustic wave therapy is also a great tool not many doctors offer currently, but it is readily available from Dr. Bregman. The use of peripheral nerve stimulators for chronic nerve pain in the legs and feet is another new and very exciting treatment available from the center.
Other doctors often refer nerve patients to Dr. Bregman for treatment of their neuropathy and nerve problems. Dr. Bregman prefers minimal incision surgery and non-surgical means whenever possible.
Patients from all over the world seek him out for his expertise in the field of nerve problems.
Fellow doctors from around the country, in the treatment and diagnosis of nerve problems, seek out Dr. Bregman for teaching opportunities, and he has become a leading expert in pediatric surgery including toe walking and flat feet.
Dr. Bregman emphasizes the importance of connecting with a specialist when you are experiencing pain in your feet or legs and not to rely on your primary healthcare provider to treat the feet. He feels that while they are probably very smart, and great at what they do, they cannot possibly provide the same care as a good foot care specialist.
He also believes in open communication with his patients. If a patient emails him, they will hear back usually within hours, if not minutes.
Dr. Bregman received his DPM from Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine in 1994, followed by a Cambridge Hospital/Harvard-affiliated residency in 1996. His accomplishments and affiliations are extensive, including a past presidency of the Association of Extremity Nerve Surgeons, member of APMA, ACFAS, AENS, Nevada State Podiatric Medical Society, and Pediatric and Trauma Fellowship training. He has also been included in the Las Vegas Top Doc 2014 and 2019 awards and Who’s Who for Doctors.
