That’s Italian in the middle of Station Casinos

By Debbie Hall

Station Casinos’ tagline is “We Love Locals” for the more than 2 million people who call Las Vegas home, and Station Casinos proves it with Pasta Cucina, an Italian restaurant located in Boulder Station, Palace Station, Aliante Casino Hotel and Sunset Station.

The restaurant’s atmosphere is removed from the casino and resembles an Italian village. Soft music, which can be easily heard and conversations can still be enjoyed, is played as part of the dining experience. The dining area features its own full bar, tables for two and four, which can be moved to accommodate larger parties, with small trees strategically placed throughout and lights strung up overhead.

For beverages, Pasta Cucina has an extensive wine selection available by the bottle or glass and the wait staff is quite knowledgeable about the wines offered. Real Italian soda is offered and is a great pairing for a nonalcoholic beverage choice.

For starters, fried artichokes served with garlic buttermilk sauce or chilled grilled tomatoes with fresh mozzarella on a parmesan crouton are just two of the many great choices. Salads offered include an Italian grilled chicken Cobb salad made with crisp romaine topped with grilled chicken, artichoke hearts, sun-dried tomato, crispy pancetta, black olives, bleu cheese and egg tossed in herb vinaigrette.

Entrees feature the lighter side of chicken and fish, along with homemade pastas, thin-crust stone-oven pizzas and steaks for those with a heartier appetite. The signature house-made thin-crust pizza features toppings such as spinach and artichoke made with artichoke hearts, fresh spinach, herb cream sauce, topped with mozzarella and basil.

Coffee, cappuccino, espresso, along with fresh gelato and cannoli, finish off the meal before heading back to the casino for some entertainment.
