Tiffany Andersen, medical aesthetician and holistic health practitioner, has launched Gavee Gold non-toxic skin care line with a portion of proceeds to benefit the breast cancer awareness program, “Send me on Vacation” in honor of her mother, Marsha Marie Leitner, who lost the fight in 1998. Andersen, who survived cancer as well as a car accident that nearly left her paralyzed, has released a biography, “Finding Faith” along with hosting a television series to raise awareness about health of the skin.

Cynthia Vespia is a Las Vegas native who has released her latest thriller, “Lucky Sevens” and will donate a portion of the proceeds to benefit the Colon Cancer Program at Cedars-Sinai in honor of her father, Charles Vespia Jr., an entertainer on the Las Vegas Strip for 20 years who lost his battle in late 2012. She is also penning a new self-help/training manual on how to overcome grief through exercise and nutrition.

Helene Neville is a 53-year-old four-time cancer survivor, nurse, fitness coach, transcontinental runner, nationally known speaker and author of two books: “Nurses In Shape: The Right Dose!” and “One on the Run – 93 Days Across America.” In 2010, she ran from California to Florida and in 2013 from Vancouver to Mexico. From these journeys, she organized the 2013 National Nurses Health Institute Speaker Series and National Nurses Half Marathon and 5K Race in Las Vegas.

Sheri Goldstrom handles all the Goldstrom family ventures, museum, car collection, Nostalgia Street Rods and charitable efforts. At the beginning of the business, Goldstrom earned her commercial driver’s license and hauled debris and scrap from the Goldstrom Enterprises demolition of the Stardust, Dunes and Hacienda hotel and casinos. Dr. Nicole Dalessadro joins the newly formed Desert Institute of Specialty Care in Las Vegas. A podiatric surgeon recruited from the Philadelphia VA Medical Center, she specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of foot disorders. Her areas of expertise include foot and ankle, surgical procedures, diabetes, wound care and sports medicine. Desert Institute of Specialty Care plans to further expand its specialty services with the addition of general orthopedics and internal medicine specialists.

Cher Hale, program director for Influencer Academy, with a goal of teaching women how to make change through business savvy and communication, raised more than $3,300 for the nonprofit Hero School, which educates students and the homeless how to achieve their goals and transform their lives. What inspired Hale was a homeless man who approached her for money. Instead, she bought him lunch and listened to his story, which led her to raise awareness and money to help the homeless.

With more than 20 years’ experience in the furniture industry as an interior designer, furniture buyer and showroom owner; Jill Thomson has opened Jill Thomson Design. She recently completed a full remodel of Wayne Newton’s former residence within 30 days using many local businesses. She was inspired by her father, designer Milton Homer and would attend furniture markets with her father, read Architectural Digest and developed her skills in the industry at a young age.

Melanie Bash brings more than 25 years of experience to her current position as events director at Easter Seals Nevada. Thomas does not allow her disability to prevent her from working numerous vendor fairs and events each year as well as maintaining the business online.

Patricia Lee, a Partner with Hutchison & Steffen, has become the first Nevada attorney to receive the American Bar Association’s national Pro Bono Publico Award for her demonstrated outstanding commitment to volunteer legal services for the poor and disadvantaged. Lee, one of three attorneys in the country to receive the award this year, was honored at the Pro Bono Publico Awards Assembly Luncheon during the ABA Annual Meeting. Lee forged a unique partnership to formally adopt an entire practice group (domestic violence), ensuring that all such cases would be handled completely and effectively. This marked the first time a law firm had ever adopted an entire Legal Aid practice group.

Mother and daughter team Jessica Poole and Renee Poole hold estate sales and own a 12,000-square-foot warehouse filled with estate liquidation items. The team has announced the opening of their auction house at their warehouse location. Renee Poole has been an estate liquidator for over 25 years known as Call Renee Estate Liquidation and Jessica Poole joined the business when they opened the estate liquidation warehouse known as Not Just Antiques.

Vegas PBS announced Shauna Lemieux has been named communications and brand manager for the station.
