Jan. 6-9: The Consumers Electronic Show produced by The Consumer Electronics Association will bring its lifestyle-focused conference programming, consumer technologies and exhibits produced in partnership with Living in Digital Times at the 2015 International CES. The 2015 CES will feature 20 category-specific marketplaces highlighting innovation across diverse product areas. The television show, “CSI: Crime Scene Investigation” remains a hit after 14 years and CSI: The Experience! gives guests the chance to play the role of a crime scene investigator in an interactive hands-on challenge including three murders, 15 lab stations, 15 suspects and three killers. Guided by videos featuring cast members, alongside real-life forensic scientists, participants examine bullet casings, match DNA to potential suspects, identify the source of a single strand of hair as the investigation process is completed. Nov. 28, 7 p.m.: Skiing expert and filmmaker Warren Miller’s, No Turning Back, will be shown at The House of Blues Las Vegas to benefit the volunteer mountain patrol at Las Vegas Ski and Snowboard Resort. Dec. 6: Santa Claus is coming for the 10th Anniversary of the Las Vegas Great Santa Run and Opportunity Village’s 60th anniversary of providing programs and services for individuals with disabilities in the Las Vegas community. Thousands of Saint Nick lookalikes will flood the streets for a 5K run and one-mile Kris Kringle Jingle walk, raising funds. The newly charted race course will begin under the glowing overhead screens of Fremont Street Experience and continue throughout downtown, passing a number of landmarks. Jan. 1: Commitment Day 5K is an annual walk or run that Life Time Athletic hosts each year on New Year’s Day. The 10721 W Charleston Blvd. location is one of the 50 Life Time Athletic hosting the event nationwide. The Commitment Day movement was inspired by Life Time Founder and CEO Bahram Akradi as a way to unite individuals across the US and Canada each Jan. 1 as they declare their commitments to healthy eating, exercise, family, respect, giving and a healthy planet.
