New headquarters open to serve Southern Nevada

ProCareRXDr. Raeanna Lewarne, PharmD, BCPS, and president of ProCare HospiceCare, is excited to have a new state-of-the-art facility in Las Vegas. The western headquarters’ grand opening commenced in July, and it marks the dedication of ProCare’s team in servicing clients nationwide. ProCare’s family of companies includes ProCare Pharmacy Benefit Manager, which has distinguished itself as a PBM in technology, service, flexibility and cost containment; ProCare PharmacyCare, a full-service pharmacy specializing in acute and maintenance drugs along with complex disease state and palliative care medications; and ProCare HospiceCare, which provides hospice-specific PBM and 24/7 clinical services.

ProCare HospiceCare is an established leader in the hospice community in both pharmaceutical services and clinical support. “PHC brings cost containment solutions, through customized pharmacy programs, to each hospice served. They know experience and compassion count when it comes to ensuring efficient access to hospice medications at the lowest possible cost. That’s why we’re a leader in delivering exceptional value and better health outcomes. We’re proud to operate our own processing and paying systems, manage and develop our own formularies, and work directly with nurses and physicians to provide acute and chronic pain and symptom resolution for every hospice and palliative care patient,” Dr. Lewarne said.

ProCare HospiceCare has a clinical staff of doctors of pharmacy. These experts hold specialized certification and experience in geriatric, hospital, pediatric, long-term care, and infusion pharmacy. PHC provides On-Demand Clinical Services with Conditions of Participation Service compliance, giving hospice medical staff immediate and unlimited access to comprehensive pharmacy consultations throughout the course of a patient’s hospice care: 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. “We take joy in providing excellent service to hospice patients, as if they were our mothers, fathers, brothers, sisters and friends,” Dr. Lewarne said.

ProCare HospiceCare works with clients to contract with local community pharmacies or a mail order network, allowing for convenient availability and access to medications. A few of its offerings include home delivery via mail-order and specialty pharmacy, ProCare PharmacyCare, aggressive medication discounts, 24-hour pharmacy help desk access and automated dispensing Pharmacy On-Demand MedCabinets.

In light of ever-increasing costs and the regulatory environment, effective medication management is central to ProCare HospiceCare’s solution. The customization of services and the sole ownership of its claims processing system allow its clients to make adjustments quickly and easily. ProCare HospiceCare offers the ultimate flexibility for each hospice’s unique needs.

Finally, as it is the ProCare family policy to deliver on promises, Dr. Lewarne is confident that ProCare’s western expansion will allow ProCare HospiceCare to continue to provide existing clients with consistent excellence in hospice pharmacy and clinical services. It will also allow it to extend excellence to a wider client range.
