The goals of the local affiliate for the National Association of Women Business Owners, NAWBO Southern Nevada, is to educate, empower and promote women business owners to experience success in all economic, political and social arenas. During one morning event, three successful women offered their expertise in the various facets of promoting a business. The panel included Ruth Furman, Image Words; Nina Radetich, Radetich Marketing + Media and Danielle Ford, creative video marketing strategist.

“Peter, Paul and Mary Alive!,” the tribute show to the folk and rock group, Peter, Paul and Mary, known for hits “Leaving on a Jet Plane” and “Puff the Magic Dragon” will be performed at the Starbright Theatre June 10.

Courtney, who lost to her father, John, in the Funny Car finals of last fall’s Las Vegas Strip event, is reversing an early season slump with a strong showing this weekend. Courtney Force set a Funny Car track record in qualifying Friday at The Strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway and seeks to hold the No. 1 position through Saturday’s sessions ahead of the NHRA Nationals, the fourth round of the Mello Yello Drag Racing Series.

Befitting One Drop, the foundation of Cirque du Soleil creator, Guy Laliberté, it is a spectacular production involving over 400 Cirque du Soleil artists, designers and technicians as well as special guests. The creative team behind the fifth annual show includes Krista Monson, director of creation. The exclusive performance will be held in the Zumanity Theatre at New York-New York Hotel & Casino on March 3.
